Five hundred reasons why I have a blog with a very strange name.

WeQuit.Net
Here's how it all went down...
    1. Quit smoking - Check!
    2. Plan a smoking cessation web site - Check!
    3. Register a domain name  - Check!
    4. Hire a crawfish as mascot - Check!

Did we really need a mascot?
Probably not.  Though as luck would have it, our domain name appears on the first line of the keyboard, so, it would be easy for our pinchered little friend to navigate the site.

Why not a pigeon you ask?

We know about Google's success with pigeons  The Pigeon Computing model is solid, but, we decided against it.  After all, we're not Google!   Plus, all the experts agree that the cray's are super computers.  This little guy is no exception.

(What do crayfish and a Chinese students in Tienanmen Square have in common?)

Enough about the Lobster...  A little about the site and the reason behind it.

The original idea stemmed from my smoking habit.   My daughter inspired me to quit (thanks sweetie!) and that's where I got the idea to start a smoking cessation web site.

It was great to finally break free.  I thought I could help others do the same thing.  Maybe show some yucky lung tissue photos and put up a few articles.  Then my enthusiasm for the idea came to an abrupt halt.   The more I worked on the site, the more I wanted to smoke.  So reading about quitting made me more likely to think about smoking again.  At the very least it was causing a degree of temptation.

Up to that point I had invested about five-hundred dollars into the project.  Now I have a personal blog with a very odd title.  Anybody interested in buying a domain name?
